The Drunk

Today...

I will not be writing anything serious....but I just feel like sharing a joke with everyone.

Its about a drunk.....

A drunk phoned the police to report that thieves had broken in to his car.
'They've stolen the dashboard, steering wheel, break pedal, even the accelerator,' he cried out.
However, before the police investigation could get under way the phone rang a second time, with the same voice came over the line. 'Never mind,' said the drunk with a hiccup, 'I got in the
backseat by mistake.'

If only they knew..........

Hi there!

Its just after midnight looking out my window, amazed by the beauty of the full moon. A slow breeze gently blowing in from the open space before me. What peace and tranquility!

I wish I can share this experience with my love ones, but alas, they are already sound asleep.

I should be sleeping too as I have an early appointment tomorrow morning. But, hey, I have just reminded myself only yesterday, that if I really want to reach my goals and dreams, I need to work on my internet. Blogging is one of the medium in the internet to achieve this goal of mine.

So, here I am, diligently and dutifully, typing away my "Inner Thoughts".

Six hours ago, I was at the Causeway. I have been crossing over to Johor Bahru so regularly that I have lost count. But today was different.

There I was sitting in our comfortable family car being driven by my daughter, looking out at the thousands of motorcyclist waiting in queue to clear immigration at the Woodlands Checkpoint.
They are mostly Malaysian workers, leaving for home after a hard days' work in Singapore. Then it struck me like a lightning volt.....

If only they knew....that there is a better way of earning a living without this daily hassle.
If only ....I can whisper into their ears, "Listen, I can show you how to get out of this rut".
If only....they could spend 20 minutes of the 1440 minutes they have in a day with me , I might be able to change their lives.

But alas, that is not to be so. I was just not able to reach out to them.

But, if only, YOU would click on this link here, you will see what I mean to say to them.

We are guilty of this....excuses, excuses, excuses

Some explanations are regarded as "good excuses," while others are looked upon as "poor excuses." Either way, they both give explanations, or reasons why.

"I forgot" is perhaps the most popular and even thought by some to be the worst excuse of all time.

On the other hand, if you were bed ridden for a week with a real bad flu, that would rank pretty high as a "good excuse" for not going to work, right?

But what about excuses people have concerning their goals and their dreams? What about places we would like to go in life, things we want to do, things we would like to accomplish, the financial freedom we always dream of, but somewhere along the line, those dreams just seem obscure and we start to come up with some "good excuses" for not doing what we need to do to accomplish those dreams. Sound familiar?

Suppose we had dreams and aspirations of running a marathon, climbing a mountain, or even jumping out of a plane? Those are really exciting goals and dreams, but what if we were blind? Being blind would be a pretty "good excuse," wouldn't it?

Have you ever heard of Erik Weihenmayer? He went blind at age 13. Erik has run in marathons, jumped out of planes, and climbed mountains, including Mt. Everest! Here's quote from Erik:

"When I went blind, it was tough to even find the bathroom. Now that I've climbed Mount Everest, well, I guess I've come a long way."

On May 25, 2001, Erik Weihenmayer became the first blind man in history to reach the summit of the world's highest peak - Mount Everest. And on September 5, 2002, when he stood on top of Mt. Kosciusko in Australia, Erik had completed his 7-year goal to climb The Seven Summits - the highest mountains on each of the seven continents.

I know from my research that only 100 mountaineers have ever accomplished that feat. Erik did it at the age 33, one of the youngest climbers to accomplish that feat! You can read Erik's book, called, Touch the Top of the World.

So, are our dreams, goals and desires too big? I don't think so.

So don't be afraid to have big goals, and big dreams! Ask God for help and direction and then start pursuing, and pursue with all your might, without making excuses!

Is there someone you can talk to? Do we need further education or training? Are there places we need to go to see and learn?

In other words, start taking whatever action we can right now, today! And continue to pursue after it day after day, refusing to quit.

We can choose to consistently pursue after our goals or we can choose to just sit back and go through all the "good excuses" of why those goals just won't happen for us.

Our dreams and our desires are important because they are ours! God will help us and give us the desires of our heart.

Stop making excuses and start pursuing our dreams! Just do it!

Note: This post is also a reminder to myself.

Its alright to slack...

I have come to realize that it is only human for anyone to feel tired, bored, unfocused and sometimes to lose interest in whatever goal one pursues in life.

That's exactly what happened to me in the last one month. Hence, I have been neglecting my blog.

Hey, I am human too. Just like everyone else. Have you not ever experience this too? If you have not, you will someday.

The lesson I learned from this episode is that when you slack, you lose more than you gain. Consider yourself lucky if you are able to realize and get back on track again. Pity those who embarked on a journey, only to drop off midway. Why pity? Because, obviously they will never reach their destination of achieving their goals but they will also lose all the time, effort and money that has been spent from the time they started on the journey. What do they gain? To think of it, actually...nothing!

I am blessed with a family that is extremely supportive of me, picking me up when I slip and knows that I am there, and will always be there for them whenever they need me.

Last month, I slipped from my focus on my business on the internet. Guess what, they were there to remind me of my goals and aspirations and helped me to pick up where I left off.

So, its alright to slack....as long as you have yourself or people close to you, like family and friends, who are there to remind you and give you that little, subtle pressure to get you back on your feet.

Bottom line is.....stay focused, don't lose sight of your goals, work on the business and never, never give up!.

Is it Humans or Animals?

Who is to blame for such horror? With the death of 33 people, including the gunman, it seems that human life is not worth that much after all. This time it's the work of a South Korean Cho Seung Hui and not a "Abu" something, so this time round the blame will not fall on the AlQaeda. Maybe its too often that we hear the savagery of the AlQaeda, that it will not be a surprise anymore if its them to be blame again.

Its 33 lives and we see news flashed on the front pages of nearly every tabloid in the world. Why? Because it happened in "The Land of Opportunity". Many of our American friends fell victim to this outrages massacre. This happened on Monday.

One day earlier, a Sunday, at a location further away, 50 lives were lost caused by explosions.

Two days later, on Wednesday, 170 people died and 200 wounded due to explosions. These deaths were reported also, but not on the front pages, and certainly not in many tabloids.

Why?

It happened in a far away dessert land called Baghdad, Iraq.

Why the disparity? Is it because of where it happened? Is it because who the victims were? These questions need serious looking into. My take on this is straight forward, impartial and fair. Human life is sacred and should be respected as a gift of God (no matter what you believe Him to be). No human has the right to take it away except Him. All human life is equal regardless of whether one is black, white or yellow. It is equal, regardless of where one originates from. Be it Africa, America, Asia or anywhere on the face of this earth. Rich or poor, we are all equally HUMANS.

So, my point is, regardless of whether its the 33 lives or the 170 lives, it should be grieved equally. My heart goes to the family of the massacre victims at Virginia Tech, however, it is disgustingly wrong to over highlight the plight of the 33 without equally highlighting the 170 deaths in Baghdad, just because of the differences in location and people. They are all humans! Unless, of course, its 33 human lives lost in America and 170 pigs in a remote town in Baghdad, then its alright not to highlight the slaughter of the animals.

Think of it, discuss and comment this post.

How to choose High Income Business Opportunities

Business Opportunities! Everyone is looking for high income business opportunities. What do you know about starting a business, let alone a profitable one?

Let's start by identifying the kind of high income business opportunities which are "safe". Why "safe"? Because 80% of businesses do not make it to their anniversary. Hence, business owners lose most, if not all, of their investments. These are the lucky ones. Many more would have to be forced into bankruptcies.

During the late 60s, when I was a teenager, my dad who was in the filming industry used to say, "there is no business like show business", but that has changed now that we are in the information age, and it now has to be, "there is no business like the internet business."

What other business can earn you a sinful income and still allows you to control time to your desires. What other high income business opportunities allows you to spend quality time with your children relaxing at some beach resort in the Mediterranean while you are earning income by the hour, even when you are sleeping ? What other high income business opportunities allows you to grow a huge monthly turnover and still not tie you down as a slave to a "job"?

When you own an offline business, you must always remember that you are not the boss of your own time. Your customer is your boss! Each month, there is salary to be paid, landlord promptly knocking at your door, electricity and water bills, suppliers bills, medical bills, insurances, and the list goes on. Not forgetting the huge capital you have invested to start up your dream business. Most "dream" businesses ends up as a nightmare.

In the internet business, you are the boss! No worries of rent, salaries, bills and the likes. Probably with a very low joining fee, you can start doing internet business by joining an affiliate program. This would be the best entrance into the internet business world for beginners. Most entrepreneurs in the internet business may not know it, but there is a very high price to pay to build a non-affiliate business. The answer to achieving a very successful high income is to join an affiliate program. Truly, if you are looking for high income business opportunities, you need not look elsewhere other than the internet.

Those who are already thriving in the affiliate program may not fully appreciate just how lucky and privileged they are having the sort of business where there is absolutely no limit to the sort of revenue that one can earn. All you need to do is create a system of constantly generating leads and then referring them to your affiliate sites. That's it! Somebody else closes the sale for you, somebody else takes care of delivery and inventory and all the other hassles and troubles and headaches that go into running a successful enterprise.

The answer to high income business opportunities is the affiliate program in the internet. The bottom line is just generate traffic to your website! That's all!
